I want everyone to post a good, lesser known but really SCARY movie on here! Hopefully we can tally a good list.

I'll start...

1. Event Horizon - I love sci-fi horror and this one takes place on a haunted, deserted ship in Neptune's orbit. It scares the crap out of me, I can't watch it alone!!

As i don't get too scared anymore i'll vote for gore. The two best gore films that i've seen recently are Cabin Fever and Dog Soldiers.

Highly recommend Cabin Fever - it's enough to put any man off touching their lady friends fish bits thats for sure!!!

I do love the classics as well though like the Omen, The Shining and Rosemary's baby.

And for horror with a laugh you just can't go past Freddie (especially 3 & 4).

The Hellraiser movies are quite good too.

When I was 13 I watched Night Of The Living Dead with my step brother. He knew I hated watching horror. We were alone in the house and he put the movie on. I was in the other room so he made scary noises and started freaking me out Shocked

I was so afraid to be alone that I sat and watched the movie with him Twisted Evil

I was so scared! And the fear didn't go away for weeks. I did my paper round in almost half the time because I hated riding my bike around in the dark ... I was so busy looking out for zombies who wanted to eat my brains that I probably missed a few deliveries Embarassed Laughing

Hellraiser is awesome but so gory. Pinhead is probably one of the freakiest of the series bad guys. Michael Myers is scary as fuck too.

The first Nightmare on Elm Street still creeps me out.

The Exorcist too.

For modern series, the first Scream terrified me.

I used to fancy Pinhead - is that unusual?

Mind you i cried at the end of nightmare on elm street 6 when they rolled the credits and Freddie is standing there holding his hat and they run through all of his best killings. He just looked so sad, and i couldn't believe that he was dead. Excuse me while i go and have another cry.
