The problem with making a post like this is, I guess, wondering what people might find remotely interesting about me...

I'm an old school EMF fan from back in the day... I was about 16 when Schubert Dip came out, so that was a pretty good age to be... 1991 was also the first time I went to the UK for a holiday and ended up buying some nice EMF merch... what else... I guess, over the years, I've watched Cara's site here grow from a fan shrine into the official site... watched her meet the boys for the first time... then Zac passed on, and that was a wholly awful time, but in a weird way it brought people back to the fold... now here we all are again, with out own forum...

Looing forward to talking with everyone in the days, weeks, months and years ahead!

Hey Rob - Is that Sydney, Australia? I am in Melbourne. I have LOVED 'Mef since 1992 when I discovered them after going to University.

The first song I heard was Unbelieveable - of course, but I really got into EMF just before Stigma came out.

I remember that I went on a really crap date with a not too attractive girl. Of course, the saturday before I had thought she was gorgeous (BEER GOGGLES Razz ).

The date wrapped up and I said goodbye. I happened to walk into a record store and I heard "Getting Through" - I bought Stigma the day it came out in Australia, I did the same for Cha Cha Cha ...

Yup; the Mef had a decent following here Smile

(So, yes, Jason - that is Sydney, Australia!)

Hey Rob, I noticed from your signature that you are into comics.

I write a fortnightly column on www.comicsnexus.com about life in Australia as a comic fan. Here's a link to my most recent column:

Hey Lou, Being from Melbourne, you should know that we're better than Sydney Wink

Have you got any cool EMF stuff? I'd love to know if you have any rare tracks or singles ... About the coolest thing I have is the Children Ltd Edition Live EP.

I also have "Supersod" from Cooler on CD.

unfortunately i tend to move around a bit and throw a lot of my stuff out, so no nothing too rare.

Somewhere i think i've still got some photos of the live show in Melbourne 1991 - pretty heavy Zac bias though....damn teenage crush. Was living in Adelaide at the time but was so worth the eight hour drive, and the month long grounding.

And yeah i know Melbournes better - i even made Mr. Lou move over here from Sydney about 5 years ago.
