Well, he may have.

I have a copy of his autobiography and, before reading it properly, I thought Id have a glance at the glossary to see what page contained his memories of recording his part in one of my fave Mef tunes, Glass Smash Jack.

No mention, that I can see.

Does anybody have the story on this? Was he a fan or was it just work?

I'm guessing it was just work... Love the spoken word in Glass Smash Jack. What an awesome song!

Ooops! Hold the player-hatin'. Turns out this current book only chronicles up to the late eighties so I would expect a hearty chapter or two on EMF to be included in the next book!

Incidentally, I am currently on holiday (the Fry book is my holiday reading) in..........................ARIZONA. So theres only one tune in my head at the mo!

Hmmm, just been discussing the possibilities of emigrating out here from the UK. Would I miss home though....................?

Arizona is a world unto itself... I haven't been there in 3 years, but the plan is for us to eventually end up in the Tucson area, OR southern New Mexico. The southwest is my favorite part of the US (outside of NYC, of course)

If my memory serves me right Stephen Fry suffered a bit of a breakdown just when Cha cha cha came out and he ran away from UK- He was in a play called Cell mates with Rik Mayall at the time???
maybe hes blotted that bit from his mind!! there was a piccie of him with EMF in the NME though If I recall ???
